My wife and I are the owners of Shop Local First. We have lived in Ellis County for over 12 years and have loved every moment of it. Our passion is to contribute to a healthy community with a healthy economy. That has been a very tall order over the past few years. After being unemployed off and on for over two years, I decided that I must begin a business that contributes to the overall health of our economy while capitalizing on my strengths and passions. By shopping locally, you can make a huge contribution also.
Our local businesses are the heartbeat of a vibrant economy. Shop Local First desires to provide two essential benefits to our community.
- A directory of local businesses, services and savings opportunities that help our residents and business community easily find the products and services they desire.
- A low cost advertising alternative for small to medium businesses within our community. Magazines, newspapers, radio, coupon mass mailers and billboards may be too expensive for most businesses that have little to no marketing budgets.
Shop Local First wishes to create a community mindset that recognizes the importance of shopping locally before you travel to our neighboring cities.
